These rounded green forms have been appearing in my paintings for a while. I don’t plan them. They tend to show up after periods when something has been happening repeatedly in my coaching work.

This one came during a stretch when several clients were having win after win. Not dramatic breakthroughs. More like a series of moments where something was clearly changing—more confidence, better judgment, a stronger sense of what they were capable of.

I think that is what I see in the larger form here.

The pink center reminds me of a geode. There is something precious inside it, but it is not exposed. It is being held.

That idea matters to me in coaching too. Sometimes the work is not about pushing someone forward. It is about holding enough space around what is emerging that it has a chance to become more fully itself.

I did not set out to paint that. But when I looked at the finished piece, I knew exactly what it was about.
