Do You See What I See?

16 × 12 in. | Watercolor on unstretched canvas | 2026
Available, unframed

Have you ever seen something in someone before they could see it themselves?

That’s what I see in this painting.

The smaller form at the top reminds me of a mirror being held up—not to show someone who they should become, but to reflect back something that is already there.

Sometimes another person sees our strength, our readiness, or our capacity before we do. They don’t give it to us. They simply help us see it.

I think that’s why this painting feels hopeful to me. The possibility isn’t somewhere out ahead. It’s already there, waiting to be recognized.
